More than 8,000 gathered in Little Easton for the 31st annual Countess of Warwick Country Show over the August bank holiday.

New attractions this year included a display of traction engines and a steam car, while popular features returned including craft stalls, a classic car show and a horticultural show.

Little Easton Church hosted an art show, with a range of work by local artists on display, while Andy Mahoney of Little Easton Manor opened the gardens so visitors could enjoy music and Pimm's by the lake.

Visitors could also meet farmyard animals at the animal marquee, and pets took part in a dog show.

Meanwhile children took part in traditional races and games such as tug-of-war, an egg-and-spoon race and a sack race.

Tractor drivers participated in a ploughing match on Sunday, August 27, featuring vintage tractors from the 1940s, 50s and 60s.

The Countess of Warwick Country Show, which was revived in 1990 based on a 19th century flower show at Little Easton Manor, was listed in The Guardian last month as one of the 10 best country shows in the UK.

Organisers have already started planning for next year's event, which will take place on August 25 and 26, 2024.
