Dunmow Music Club celebrated a successful launch on Friday night, with three acoustic sets and a packed house.

The club-like setting provided an atmospheric backdrop to the vocals of young singer-songwriter Grace George.

Singer Sarah Munro also performed with her band VEALA, who launched their new single 'Straight Out Of Hell' during the gig.

Host and former 10cc frontman Mick Wilson presented a special acoustic set, with just him and a guitar and a few tales from touring the world with music industry legends.

Mick performed 10cc classics 'Things We Do For Love' and 'I'm Not In Love', alongside self-penned songs such as 'Constant Companion', and wowed with his vocal dexterity on 10cc's first-ever single 'Donna'.

Upcoming Dunmow Music Club nights will be held on Friday, May 19 - which is already sold out - followed by Friday, July 21, when renowned guitarist Jim Cregan will be headlining.

Jim Cregan is best known for his associations with Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel and Rod Stewart, for whom he was band leader and co-writer for many years.

He also toured and played on Katie Melua's first two albums.
