A musician who plays two guitars at once, Rodney Branigan with music from Texas and Nashville, will be at Joanna’s Place in Saffron Walden on Saturday, March 2.

Branigan, multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter with a rich and soulful voice, was raised in Texas, wrote songs in Nashville and has performed in Los Angeles.

He has a reputation as a lightning-fast fiend on guitars. He calls his music “progressive folk fusion”.

In fact, he has invented a new genre that blends rock, folk, flamenco, madrigal, classical, bluegrass and jazz. Singer-songerwriter Joanna Eden will host the evening at Fairycroft Arts and Media Centre.

Joanna’s Place has become known as a showcase for a range of top international musicians of all genres, not just jazz.

Doors 7pm for 8pm start. Tickets, £15 in advance or £17 on the door, from Saffron Walden Tourist Information Centre 01799 524002, or www.joannaeden.net/tickets.

Fairycroft House is at 37 Audley Road, Saffron Walden.
