VISITORS to Lindsell Art Gallery, just outside Dunmow, enjoyed a glass of mulled wine and mince pies on Saturday.
The occasion marked the first day of the gallery’s new exhibition of paintings entitled “With Christmas in mind”, designed to inspire those searching for an unusual or unique gift.
Paintings on show are by a variety of East Anglian artists and craftspeople and subjects include landscapes, local scenes, abstracts, flora and animals, with prices from around �50 for original framed artwork.
As well as paintings, Lindsell Art Gallery also has affordable jewellery, wood turned items and ceramics for sale both in the shop and online.
The exhibition runs until December 24 and visitors are always assured of a warm welcome and a cup of coffee.
