A Little Dunmow chef has joined the ranks of the world’s most talented culinary innovators by becoming a member of the World Master Chefs Society.

Tim Allen, chef at the Flitch of Bacon, in The Street, completed a programme of study in ‘fine gastronomy’ in order to earn a place among an international collection of world class chefs from 25 countries.

The society encourages the use of expertise and technology to maintain the highest standards in an ever changing and competitive industry.

It has been a significant year so far for the Mr Allen. In February, he became chef-partner at the Flitch of Bacon, taking over the reins from celebrity chef Daniel Clifford. Since then it has become known as Tim Allen’s Flitch of Bacon, serving cutting edge British cuisine and going from strength to strength.
