DUNMOW Pantomime Group is calling for support and sponsorship to ensure its future entertaining the town remains safe.
Having been injected with young faces the group is full of enthusiasm and ideas, but it is a return to the old ways that has the group asking for support.
During the 60’s the pantomime raised thousands of pounds for Cancer Research UK and it is their greatest wish to be able to give to charity again.
Director and producer for the pantomimes Belinda Savill said: “If the group is to survive, give pleasure to the people of Dunmow and somewhere our new young talent can grow, it is going to need support.
“We would hate this tradition to die out, but need approx 9,000 each year to stage the show.”
After the hugely successful Babes in the Wood, the group is busy working towards January’s production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Auditions for the show are being held on June 25 at Barnston Village Hall at 2pm.
