ANOTHER Barnston Youth player has come into the sporting spotlight this week by winning our Sports Star of the Week award in association with Out There Sports in Great Dunmow.

Under 12s defender, Frank Luckin, is the man of the moment and he will receive a sporting prize from Out There Sports as a result of his efforts.

The Helena Romanes pupil was nominated by Barnston fan Brian Hockley who said: “Frank had an excellent game on Sunday in the 1-1 draw with Beacon Hill Rovers, and also picked up the man of the match award, his second one of the season, he has scored three goals this season, and even plays in goal if required.

“He is the ball winner in defence, good with his tackles, and has a strong kick. He distributes the ball well to his fellow team mates, and has had a good all round performance throughout this season.”

Barnston Youth have now had six winners of the Youth Star award this season – an amazing effort from everyone involved at the club.
