A PROPER hat-trick hero has claimed our Youth Star of the Week prize this week.
Barnston Youth under 12s midfielder Adam Griggs is the boy in the spotlight after bagging a trio of sublime strikes at the weekend and getting the man of the match award.
He was nominated by Brian Hockley after he watched the youngster help destroy Burnham Ramblers 7-4 on Sunday morning.
He said: “Adam is a hard working player for Barnston and is always there to take set pieces. He has an excellent left foot and has captained the side on several occasions. He takes every thing in his stride, and has a cool head, and he encourages the players around him and works hard in training on Wednesday evenings.”
