Dunmow bowled first on a good pitch after winning the toss. They got off to a good start with early wickets taken by Alan Way (1-24) and Oli Rooney.
Braintree batted well through the middle, but after a break in partnership between M Street (36) and J Rogers (24), the away team had a slight collapse, never capitalising on their start.
All the Dunmow bowlers performed well with Nick Rooney (3-25), being the pick, restricting Braintree to 128 all out.
Dunmow started their innings needing just three an over. Openers Oli Rooney (51) and Nick Kesingland (21), got off to good starts with the first wicket falling in the 12th over.
Oli and Nick Rooney (45), shared a partnership of 73 putting Dunmow in a great position.

Braintree bowled well, but failed to restrict the Dunmow batsmen.
