West Essex Judo Club celebrated its one year anniversary at Stebbing Village Hall this week.
Coaches Thomas Cousins and Faith Pitman, both Commonwealth Games medallists, have been teaching at the venue since last August.
Numbers have grown considerably at the club in 12 months with ages from five upwards learning the sport.
Club chairman Andy Kiberd said:“We look forward to another successful year and welcome new members of any age or ability.”
