GAMES across the Dunmow Broadcast area were badly hit by the weather at the weekend with football matches for Takeley, Stansted and Dunmow FC called off.
Frozen pitches were mainly to blame, although Dunmow was postponed because the opposition were playing in a national tournament.
Stansted lost top spot to Witham Town who were the only side to play in the Essex Senior League, but the Airportmen do still have two games in hand to make up the three-point gap.
Takeley lost out twice after Tuesday night’s game against Barkingside was also cancelled.
