To round off a great season's racing for Walden Tri, five athletes took part in the end of season Bedford Autumn Sprint.
Despite the early morning and a cold start, the race was quickly underway and competition was hot in the 400m swim, 25k bike and 5k run.
All five athletes enjoyed a fast swim and the challenging bike route, but the cool autumn air meant chilly transitions and numb fingers trying to adjust clothing and trainers without losing momentum.
Tracy Ketteridge was first in her category in 1hr 21min, Nicki Davis was third in her in category in 1hr 24min and Liam Goodard came home in 1hr 21 min, second in his section.
Neal Mummery was 18th in his category in 1hr 17min, while Paul Whiffen's time of 1hr 17min put him 19th in his section.
