DUNMOW took on second in the table on a bitterly cold and breezy Saturday and after opening the scoring through a Lee Waddingham volley were unlucky not to come away with any points.

As last week the hosts started well, playing some decent football despite the heavily churned pitch.

Andy Harvey and Lee Waddingham controlled the centre of midfield and wings Dan Moss and Oliver Coopersmith showed plenty of endeavour as they raced up and down the pitch.

After 30 minutes Dunmow managed to convert their superiority. A cross-field pass from Moss found Coopersmith on the opposite flank.

Coopersmith made one of his trademark weaving runs down the right wing and put in a testing cross that the keeper punched out.

The ball landed invitingly to Waddingham who was waiting on the 18-yard line and he hit an exquisite volleyed lob into the far left corner of the goal.

Dunmow so nearly went two up within minutes of he restart with an 18-yard screamer from Will Green that was well saved.

As last week this was as good as it got for Dunmow. With five minutes of the half remaining both Dunmow’s centre-backs went missing and White Hart scored

Two goals by playing through the Dunmow defence.

Dunmow came out in the second half with a little more resolve, but were soon

3-1 down.

Both sides continued to spar and chances came and went but Dunmow were unable to find a way through and bring themselves back into the game.

Next: This Saturday sees Dunmow travel to Burnham Ramblers for a 2pm kick off.
