Dunmow ski racer Kieran Norris got a win under his belt ahead of his first appearance at the FIA Alpine World Ski Championships in St Moritz, Switzerland.
The ex-Felsted School pupil took top spot in a race slalom through the streets of Zell am See in Austria on Wednesday
The Irish number one, who qualifies for the Emerald Isle through his mother, is set to begin his World Championships next Thursday (February 16) in the giant slalom qualification.
Norris, aged 21, is one of 600 athletes from over 70 countries who will compete for medals and the title of world champion in competitions such as downhill, giant slalom, super-G, slalom, super combination and in the team event.
