Flitch Youth Whites 2 Baddow Spartak Panthers 0

MARSHALL got the perfect birthday present as his two goals saw Flitch through to the cup final.

Flitch took an early lead when Frankie O’Brien found Marshall who coolly finished. Baddow looked for a reply but a determined Charlie Vickers refused to be beaten.

The visitors continued to push forward but O’Brien and Marshall combined again to seal a 5-2 win on aggregate with a counter attacking goal.

Dunmow Rhodes Tigers 2 Great Notley Falcons 1

Great Notley took a first half lead but Rhodes bounced back in the second half with two fantastic strikes from Alfie Bowen. His first was a free kick from outside the area and his second came after Joshua Valks flicked the ball to Bowen who lifted the ball keeper.

Flitch Youth Blues 3 Boreham 0

AN in-form goalkeeper kept the score respectable as Flitch ran out winner against Boreham.

Flitch dominated the opening phases of the game but it took a solo effort from George Gilbert, which culminated in a delicate chip over the goalkeeper, to break the deadlock.

With half-time approaching Gilbert grabbed Flitch’s second goal with a powerfully driven shot.

With the final whistle approaching Sam Barnes finished clinically to for Flitch’s third.

Boreham Village 3 Barnston AFC 7

Barnston produced an excellent attacking display to record a comfortable win over Boreham.

Joe Picton and Adam scored before Harry Brown crashed home the third goal as the visitors stormed to a half time lead.

As the second half began, Jonah Carter grabbed Barnston’s fourth. Boreham pulled a goal back after they reacted first to a Harry Price save to score from close range.

Barnston’s response was quick and decisive - Jonah Carter added his second before Tommy Barrington made it six.

U12

Dunmow Rhodes Lions 1 Notley Sharks 2

Rhodes opened the scoring with a superb Johnston free kick to Jack Back who smashed home.

In the second half Notley scored a very well worked goal from outside the box. Lions pushed for a second but Johnston, Shalka, and Nathan were all denied before Notley caught them on the counter with a blistering run and well taken goal.

U13

Barnston Youth 2 Focus Ferrers 4

Barnston rallied for a late comeback but it was not enough against the league leaders.

Focus Ferrers took a three goal lead before Barnston’s Sam Duberry pulled one back. The visitors added another to give them a 3-1 half time lead.

Barnston were in the ascendency in the second half. Dominic Roles’ early goal set the tone but the hosts were not able to mount a comeback as Ferrers left with the win.

U13

Great Notley Hammers 2 Flitch Youth 1

The hosts deservedly took the lead and could have booked their place in the final but for some wayward finishing.

A much improved Flitch side was seen in the second half, with both Atkinson and Bull going close.

However, Great Notley caught the visitors on the break to double their advantage.

Flitch’s Callaghan pulled a goal back to keep his side’s cup hopes alive for the seond leg.

U14

Chatteris Town 0 Great Bardfield Muddogs 3

THREE goals was enough to earn Barfield a win against Chatteris.

The Muddogs made inroads into Chatteris’ half immediately and if not for an inspired goalkeeper they could have registered an embarrassingfirst half tally.

It took until the second half for Bardfield to beat the keeper.

Potter stabbed home from close range before Fairhurst added a second. Chatteris were close to grabbing a goal but a goal line clearance from Hayhow kept the goal unblemished. Mercer added Bardfield’s third from the spot after Potter was hauled down.

U14

Heath Park 6

Lower Street Colts 1 Tassel

Despite an evenly contested match where both teams competed with equal effort, Lower Street were rewarded with just 1 goal from Harry Tassel while Heath Park managed to score six times - all by the same forward.

The score line did not reflect the game and Lower Street deserved more especially after some fine work from Josh Sell, Ryan Truman and man of the match, Chris Mckinnon.
