Tiptree 10 mile road race for Grange Farm and Dunmow Runners

James Bosher, finishing 12th in 1h 2min 16s, was the fastest of the 20 Grange Farm and Dunmow Runners (GFDR) who took part in the Tiptree 10 mile road race on Sunday.
The annual event, hosted by Tiptree Road Runners, attracted 362 competitors.
The route took runners down the hill through Messing and along flat country roads, before returning up the hill to the finish at the Tiptree Sports Centre.
The race was won by Crispian Bloomfield of Billericay Striders in 54min 30s.
For GFDR’s men, Bosher finished 24 seconds ahead of Alistair Brown, who set a personal best of 1h 2min 40s, followed by Dan Reynolds in a pb of 1h 4min 26s.

Ashwin Shah (1h 7min 1s) beat Matt Webster by 9 seconds, with Paul McKenna finishing in 1h 8min 36s. Simon King (1h 11min 24s) and Sean Henderson (1h 11min 36s) both achieved pbs.
Martin Jackson clocked 1h 11min 39s ahead of his father Colin (1h 16min 17s).

John Hardy (1h 23min 2s) was followed by Chris Hayhow (1h 24min 31s) and James Bussell (1h 26min 49s).
Rebecca Davidson was the fastest GFDR’s woman, finishing as fourth female in 1h 11min 35s. Gillian Robertson, in a pb of 1h 19min 7s, was followed by Hayley Smith (1h 20min 42s) and Charlotte King in a pb of 1h 22min 12s.
Caroline Claisse finished in 1h 38min 16s, ahead of Debbie Stares (1h 39min 40s) and Rosalind McKenna (1h 44 18s).
