Dunmow Rhodes Tigers under 12s ventured up the A12 to Colchester last Saturday to take part in the Colchester Villa five-a-side tournament.
Tigers entered two teams and were up against sides from other leagues which was good to see how they compared.
The matches were all very close and both teams were unlucky not to make the semi-final after both finishing third in their groups of six, despite only losing one match by the odd goal in each mini league.
The boys played some excellent football and had a great day out.
They are looking forward to defending the title they won at Tiptree last year as under 11s on July 15.
