Eight members of Dunmow Triathlon Club entered this weekend's Saffron Walden Triathlon, held at the Lord Butler Leisure Centre on Sunday, all putting in excellent performances.
The competition included a 750m swim, 28km bike and 5km cross country run.
Darren Thomas placed 11th overall, with Paul Shriever coming 37th and James Blair and Rob Newman completing their first triathlon.
Darren Thomas also entered the Harwich Triathlon later in the day, along with four other members of the club, which consisted of a 300m swim, 24.4km bike and a 5km run.
Darren Thomas again came 11th overall in the competition, whilst Lindsay Hellier came first in her age group and second lady overall.
