Dunmow Triathlete Darren Thomas impressed at the Big Cow Event in Milton Keynes at the weekend.
The event is one of many on the Milton Keynes triathlon calendar and attracts a large field. Due to the weather problems and flooding in the area, the 40km bike section was cut by approximately two miles and the run from 10km to 9km. The swim remained at 1500m.
Thomas finished in a superb 2hr 6min 45sec, placing 112th in a talented line-up of 563 competitors.
