One hundred children from 13 different schools from East Anglia, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and London, competed in the Felsted Tennis Challenge last Sunday.
The sun came out and stayed out, allowing the players to compete in random pools in the morning before being reallocated to ranked pools in the afternoon. Everyone played 50 games of tennis each over the day and had some excellent competition.
The winners of the under 13 girls' competition were Imogen Hargreaves and Alice Stone from Felsted Preparatory School with Emma Nelmes and Carla Spicer from New Hall runners-up.
The winners of the under 13s boys' competition were Ryan Andrews and Luke Garden from Norwich School with Oliver Houghton and William Elliott from St Faith's runners-up.
The under 11 girls' competition was won by Maria Andrew and Lorna Magrath from Town Close in Norwich and Lucy Slater and Elizabeth Nelmes from New Hall were runners-up.
The winners of the under 11 boys' competition were Dominic Blauth and Laurence Denyer from Dulwich College Preparatory School, whilst James Seager and Tom Edwards from Widford Lodge were runners-up.
