Felsted First XV rugby squad have just returned from France and are feeling jubilant after winning all their matches and beating the French club champions Bayonne in the third game of their tour.
Their first match against SAA Arcachon allowed all the 25 players to have at least 30 minute game time in an 83-0 victory under lights.
The second game was a lot more competitive against RC Lege Cap Ferret and the XV were only leading 10-0 at half-time before running in four tries late on to secure a 45-0 win.
The third game, and the first in Biarritz, was against the Bayonne RC whose first team are in the top three in France. Their youth team were French Champions and in a tense and, at times, physical battle the side secured an 18-7 victory.
A triangular was arranged to finish the tour after a fixture mix up, with Felsted defeating Berkhamstead 17-0 and Saint Jean De Luz 20-5.
Charlie Knightley, coach and housemaster said: "The boys played extremely well, enjoyed their victories and were a credit to the school.
