Georgia Slocombe, Fynn Clements, Kayley and Amber Morris have been selected to compete at London’s O2 Arena.

They will represent Dunmow Kyokushinki Karate Club at the British Kyokushinkai Karate (BKK) junior clicker tournament that is being held at the The SENI - The Compact & Strength Show, which is taking place at the O2 on Saturday, July 16 and Sunday 17.

Georgia (age 14) and 15-year-old Kayley are pupils at HRS and 10-year-old Fynn is a pupil at Gt Dunmow Primary.

They have been selected from only 16 fighters per category (under 150cm and over 150cm) from other BKK clubs around the country to take part in this event.

Additionally, another Dunmow student, 17-year-old Amber Morris will be taking part in a high grade kata tournament at this event.

These competitions form part of the BKK’s activities at The SENI, and will be a very exciting day for both competitors and spectators alike.

Dunmow Kyokushinkai Karate Club will be starting a beginner’s course on Tuesday, June 21 and the first month’s training is free.

Training is every Tuesday and Thursday. Tuesday training times for are juniors (aged six to 15) is 6pm to 7pm at the Dunmow Leisure Centre and for seniors it is 8pm to 9.30pm at Dance Studio, Dunmow Leisure Centre.

Thursday training times for juniors is 6.30pm to 7.30pm and seniors is 7.30pm to 9.30pm both at Foakes Hall, Great Dunmow.
