Takeley succumbed to an 8-2 defeat away to Enfield 1893 in the Essex Senior League on Saturday.
The loss was only the Station Road side’s second in six games as they had enjoyed an upturn in fortune under player-manager Alex Martin.
Martin and striker Mike Ogboin were on target at the weekend.
This Saturday Takeley return to action as they host Wadham Lodge, kick-off 3pm, as they look to return to winning ways in the league.
