Charlie Cole’s penalty was enough to hand Takeley a 1-0 home victory over FC Romania and stretch their unbeaten start to the Essex Senior League season to five games.
Four wins and a draw put Marc Das’ side top of the table.
Cole’s first half goal last night (Wednesday) was his fourth of the season and his third to come via the penalty spot.
Next up for Takeley is a trip to Barkingside on Saturday.
