Sterling performance from Dunmow Atlantis in junior league

Swimmers from Dunmow Atlantis competed in the penultimate round of the M11 Junior League, putting in a sterling performance in a fiercely fought competition.

The event featured a combination of short sprint and relay races, culminating in victory in the thrilling cannon relay, made up of a mix of girls and boys from youngest to oldest (aged nine to 12 years).

The Atlantis squad consisted of: Jessica Jagathesan, Eliza Westcott, Arianne van den Ende, Georgia Richardson, Bertie Warnes, Jack Rayner, Oliver Smith, Harrison Cox, Eloise Ansell, Lucy le Huquet, Lily Glen-Dopel, Ellie Dinning, Patrick Winnington, Henry Pertwee, Samuel Hayden, Amy-Rose Ansell, Daisy Herrington, Rebecca Johnson, Amelia Barton, Ben James, Toby Rayner, Dylan Jewiss, Aidan Clarkson, Maddie Lees, Eliya McHugh, Emily Green, Rose Wilkinson, Jack Richardson, Damon Elliot and Elliot Skingley.

Later in the week, there were further celebrations, with presentations of Jack Petchey Awards to Aidan Clarkson and Maddie Lees, plus the Swimmer of the Month honour given to Eliya McHugh.

All three were praised for their determination, perseverance and progress.
