Felsted School’s Ellie Lennon was left speechless after being selected in the South East England Rugby squad.
The Year 10 pupil, who started playing rugby aged five, has a host training camps to now attend in preparation for upcoming games.
Lennon said: “When I was told I’d been successful I was speechless.
“I am over the moon, it means so much to me.”
For the last two years Ellie has been playing for the Hertfordshire Baa Baa’s having played for boys teams at Cheshunt Rugby Club prior to that.
Ellie is also a member of Felsted’s U15 girls’ hockey team.
