NEARLY 90 Year 5 and 6 pupils from Thaxted Primary, Dunmow St. Mary’s and Great Dunmow Primary took part in a Sports Hall Athletics competition last Thursday (March 3).
All of the youngsters had the opportunity to take part track and field events including javelin, long jump, triple jump, obstacle runs and sprint relays.
Uttlesford sports coordinator Holly Miles said: “It was the first competition of its kind for many of the pupils and the atmosphere in the sports hall was electric.”
The final results were Thaxted in 3rd place with 650 points, Great Dunmow Primary in 2nd place with 654 points and Dunmow St. Mary’s in 1st place with 712 points.
