Runners take on Braintree road race

Conditions were good for the 374 competitors, including six Grange Farm and Dunmow Runners (GFDR), who completed the Braintree 5 mile road race.

Sunday’s race was won by Scott Cousins of Springfield Striders in 25mins 49secs.

For GFDR, winning her age category, Rebecca Davidson was third female and 32nd overall in a PB 32:27.

Kerry Harrington finished in a PB 36:59, followed by Angela Thorpe in 43:21.

Rosalind McKenna and Debbie Stares achieved PBs of 45:40 and 46:15, respectively. Ashwin Shah finished 30th in 32:17.

GFDR will be holding an 8 mile trail race from High Roding on 12 June.
