In the first round of the Mid-Essex Cross Country League, over 30 members tackled a very hilly five mile course through the woods, all putting in impressive performances.
A good show by both the men and ladies teams secured second place for both behind Springfield Striders.
Mark Eden was third with Ryan Gibson ninth while Pru Hayhow and Tina Hull fought out a close finish for ninth place in the ladies' race.
The club meet at the Dourdan Pavilion on Wednesdays at 7:30pm, all abilities are welcome.
