Ten members of the Grange Farm and Dunmow Runners took part in the Halstead Marathon last weekend putting in some great performances.

Ladies' captain Pru Hayhow finished in 3hr 30min 31sec and was awarded the Essex Silver Vet 35 medal. It was a personal best for Jules Reeves, who completed the distance on 3hr 41min 25sec, a qualifying time for the London Marathon.

Emma Copeland smashed her personal best by nearly 30 minutes completing the marathon in 3hr 49min 55sec. Katia Robertson finished in 4hr 02min 57sec and Julie Henkins in her first marathon finished in 4hr 14min 29sec as the ladies came second overall.

Andy Smith was the pick of the men's runners, not only improving his PB (3hr 19min 36sec) but also winning the Essex Gold Vet Award.
