Top level international rugby coaches will be running a week-long workshop for children aged 6-18 at Saffron Walden RFC during the summer holidays.
The coaches from New Zealand, Australia and South Africa will be leading a week's worth of first class rugby coaching from August 13-17, aimed at children of mixed ability and experience.
The workshop, run in association with Socious Sports, will make use of modern training techniques and the latest speed, agility and quickness equipment.
The aim of the workshop is to improve the game sense of experienced players whilst ensuring that absolute beginners gain a firm understanding of the sport.
At the end of the week's coaching, the attending players will be taught the history and significance of the New Zealand Haka and be asked to give a performance of the dance for their parents.
Simon Read, youth rugby chairman at Walden said: "The players that attended the camp last year had a great time and learned a lot. This showed in their performances during the season that followed, and we are delighted to welcome Socious back for a second year."
The workshop will be led by Ray Hayward, a level three coach from New Zealand, who used to play and coach professionally for the likes of Okato RFC.
Commenting on his upcoming trip to the UK Hayward said: "I'm looking forward to coming to the UK to pass on the knowledge that I've gained and hopefully to show that the game of rugby can be a simple one if the skills are well developed and used properly."
Parents who are interested in securing a place for their child should call Socious Sports on 01727 817191 or visit www.socioussports.co.uk
The price to attend the workshop is £120 which includes VAT and insurance.
