On Saturday Takeley beat Tower Hamlets 7-2 in the FA Vase, however on Tuesday night Marc Das’ side were held to 1-1 Essex Senior League draw by the same opponents.
O’Neal Rowe had put Tower Hamlets ahead at Station Road in the league clash, but home striker Charlie Cole, who had bagged a treble in the weekend’s Vase encounter, was back on the scoresheet to earn his side a point.
The point leaves Takeley third in table behind second placed Waltham Forest and leaders Hullbridge Sports.
On Saturday Takeley are again at home as they host Redbridge.
