Four members of the Flitch Run and Bike Cycling Time Trial Club raced in the Victoria CC Sporting Series 10.2mile time trial at Wendens Ambo last week.

Conditions were chilly with a fair headwind, but members put in good performances and produced some decent results.

Stuart Carmichael was first club rider home in 13th place in 25min 10sec, followed by Julian Birch who came 27th in 27min 49sec. Julian Ansell came home in 36th place in a time of 29min 50sec.

Erica Ansell put in a particularly impressive performance finishing as fifth women in 32min 50sec and 39th spot overall.

Richard O'Rourke also raced at the weekend in the North Road CC North London Millennium Trophy Event and won in a superb time of 55min 35sec.

Once again, the conditions were tricky and Richard was racing on a new bike but still managed this great result which was also a new course record.

- The club also impressed at the Lea Valley Cycling Club Open 10.

Richard O'Rourke finished first in a time of 21min 05sec and Michael Mackenzie came seventh in the handicap in a time of 27min 49sec.

The club are always interested in anyone who would like to come join them for a relaxed approach to road cycling.

They have mountain bike rides when they fancy a change.
