Great Notley Youth Cricket Club are holding an open day event on Sunday to attract players interested in joining its under 14 squad for next season.
The club, formed in 2005 and based at Shalford, has newly-appointed England coach Andy Flower as its president and is actively sponsored by two companies from the Braintree area; Mountain Healthcare and Essex Medical and Forensic Services.
Over the past two seasons the club has been carefully building its capability to develop the cricketing talents of local youngsters and, with sponsorship in hand, the commitment to securing three ECB-qualified coaches and plentiful facilities has delivered a high level of success both on and off the field.
Weekly outdoor coaching sessions will continue throughout the summer, with the focus then switching to the Essex Indoor Cricket Centre at the Ford County Ground in Chelmsford.
The open event starts at 3.30pm and is for cricketers from school years eight and nine.
