Life-size plastic cow discovered on village cricket pitch

CRICKETERS from High Roding made quite a moo-nique discovery at the weekend when a life-size plastic cow showed up on their wicket.
Dubbed ‘Nigella Cowdrey’ by club members who regularly play at The Meadow ground the black and white beast show up shortly after 6am on Sunday morning.
Normally the animal is tethered miles away at the Actual Removal Company on Ongar Road, so she must have been assisted with the move by someone.
Club spokesman Bob Potter said: “It was udderful to see Nigella plying her trade at The Meadow, but of course she had to be returned to her rightful owners.”
She was promptly returned and the purpatraters are set to remain a mystery.
High Roding were crowned T. Rippon Premier League Champions at the end of last season and are looking to build on that success for next term.
However, we seriously doubt that Nigella could currently break into an ever-improving first team…maybe the reserves?
