Felsted Year 7 pupil James Perkins scooped two bronze medals at the International Karate Championships in Malta.
The 12-year-old not only gained a bronze in the 11 to 12 year group, but also in the 13 to 14 year group, competing against youngsters from 15 other countries.
Perkins also took part in the Karate Sport England National Open Championships in Harlow.
In the 12 to 13 age category he won silver and in the boys’ U14 team event he secured gold.
