Waldentri members were in fine form on Sunday in the second round of the winter series mountain bike racing at Mayday Meadow, Thetford.
Due to the rain, the course was not only tricking with three bomb holes, but very muddy and indeed very slipping. Half time saw the organisers close the largest bomb hole for safety reasons but the race still carried on.
Yet again the Waldentri put in a great performance with three entries all finishing muddy, but in good places.
First was Jack Peasgood finishing in fourth place in the under 18 category with four laps in a time of 2hr 26min 58sec. Next home was Paul Whiffen again completing four laps in a time of 2hr 44min 03sec giving him 46th place and David Peasgood finishing in 2hr 2min 10sec completing three laps of the course to place 83rd in his age group.
