Saffron Walden Rugby Club put in a convincing performance to defeat Colchester on Saturday.
Walden started nervously, but fly-half Tom Hughes kicked for position and from the resulting line-out Colchester were caught offside to put Walden 3-0 up after eight minutes. Two more penalties on the 12th and 18th minute put Walden 9-0 ahead.
Andrew Lancaster then touched down for the first converted try with Hughes then converting Paul Marshall's try
as Walden went in 23-0 ahead
