The visitors started strongly, pressuring the Bury defence and gaining a short corner within minutes of the off.

With some great passing through the midfield Walden found their first goal through Claire Harrington and Angharad Barratt soon got Walden's second from a short corner.

After half-time Bury picked up the pace and tried to reverse the pressure onto Walden.

However, the visitors' defence was solid yet again and made sure goalkeeper Nicky Hood was rarely troubled.

Katherine Langridge made some strong runs through the midfield and linked with Julia Westnedge for Julia to score the third goal of the match.

Another well-practiced short corner routine from Gisella Gale saw Barratt fire the ball into the net to seal the victory.

Saffron Walden Ladies seconds maintained their unbeaten record with a comfortable victory over local rivals Bishop's Stortford thirds at the weekend.

The free-scoring Walden team attacked from the off and eventually took the lead after 20 minutes when top-scorer Sophie Fry flicked in from a Sophie Thomas cross.

Walden doubled the lead just before half-time, when from a short corner, Amy Huson slipped the ball square to Kate O'Sullivan to fire a shot into the corner.

After the break Walden dominated and Tilly Sleven continued her run of scoring for the team with a goal after good work from Marlie Buckridge.

Kate O'Sullivan netted the fourth after a fine solo run by Zoe Bull and Tilly Sleven completed the rout deflecting in a goalbound shot from O'Sullivan.

Saffron Walden Ladies' thirds made it through to the next round of the cup after a comfortable victory at Peterborough fourths.

Walden started strongly and opened the scoring with Annie Withrington on loan from the fourths, taking advantage of the space at centre forward.

Gabbi Byland at right wing scored number two from a well received short corner.

Making her debut in goal, Polly Oakman made some fine saves and stopped Peterborough scoring.

Pippa George sealed the victory in the closing stages, firing the ball past the keeper.

Dunmow Ladies got back on track on Saturday with an impressive home victory over Wapping fourths.

Wapping started strongly but were soon under pressure from a dominating Dunmow team who took the lead after 13 minutes.

A super run by Posy Rollit-Mason with support from Charlotte Osborne resulted in Wapping's keeper being drawn out of position, enabling Rollit-Mason to put the ball into the back of the net.

Dunmow doubled their lead 13 minutes into the second half with a clean strike from Rollit-Mason following a short corner.

A combination of passes between Kate Taylor and Charlotte Osborne led to Osborne scoring the hosts' third.

This was shortly followed by a short corner for Dunmow hit out to Rollit-Mason who passed to Jemma Smith and she returned the ball to Rollit-Mason who hit the ball into the goal for her hat-trick, sealing the victory.
