Honours were shared between manager Marc Das’ new club Takeley and his former side Sawbridgeworth Town at Station Road on Saturday.
Das left the Robins at the start of the summer for a new challenge with their derby and Essex Senior League rivals.
The two sides played out a 1-1 draw at the weekend with ex-Takeley man Gavin Cockman putting the visitors ahead.
Takeley, who went into the game having won all three of their opening league games, equalised through Mitchell Das, a former Town player, to earn a point.
