The U14 boys hockey team matched the effort of their U16 counterparts in becoming Essex champions, as Felsted’s excellent start to the season continued.
They blitzed all the competition, recording some remarkable results; 8-0 against Alec Hunter and 5-0 against Chigwell stand out, but victories such as the 1-0 triumph over Bancroft’s were also integral to the win.
A record of six wins from six, with 22 goals scored, shows how dominant the team were. Coach Jonny Sloman was delighted with the team’s efforts.
This win follows the efforts of the U16s, who cruised to the Essex title three weeks ago. With all the boys’ teams enjoying strong starts to the season, and after a very good girls’ season, Felsted hockey’s dominance in the region continues.
