The tournament is seen as the premier tournament for youth indoor hockey in the south of England, with top clubs such as Canterbury, Havant, and Ipswich competing for the title.

Both the U12 and U10 boys’ teams were champions in their age group. The U10s won all their games and were comfortably the best team in the group. The U12s had an early setback by losing to Canterbury but, due to strong results against other teams, did not give up and went onto win on goal difference.

Meanwhile, the U12 girls and U18 girls narrowly missed out on gold, coming second to extremely strong teams from Canterbury and Old Loughtonians. The U12s drew 0-0 with the champions (Canterbury) and only lost out on goal difference. The U18s lost 5-3 in a fantastic match against Old Loughtonians, who are now going on to perform in the Nationals Indoor Finals, but had impressive wins against Chelmsford and Havering.

The U14 boys also performed very well, coming third and beating Ipswich who were the eventual champions. The U16 boys also came third, a very respectful position given that the teams above them (Canterbury and OLs) both made the national finals, and included a notable 7-0 victory against Brentwood.

The U14 girls battled hard and lost many of their matches by just the one goal. They eventually came sixth in their group but came away with respect and an excellent victory over Havering.

The U10 girls had a very young team and lost four of their games by one goal, eventually coming fifth with a great victory against Chelmsford.

The U16 girls came fifth. They had only a few training sessions together and were unfortunate not to get a better position, drawing with Chelmsford and Havering both of whom ended above them in the table.
