Felsted School is celebrating after a hat-trick of county hockey titles have been secured by its boys and girls teams.

The treble was completed as the U16 boys’ hockey team demonstrated the continued strength of the school in the sport as they took the county title once again.

After triumphing at the county tournament in Redbridge, the boys became the third Felsted team this season to receive the title joining the U14 and U16 girls.

After a slow start to the tournamnet the boys managed to score a total of 14 goals in three games conceding just twice.

They beat Chigwell 3-1, Coopers 4-1 and Forest 7-0 to round off a successful competition.

They will now proceed to the regional round on February 4 in Ipswich.

Coach Nick Lockhart was delighted with the squad and their performances on the day, he said: “The whole squad played some brilliant games of hockey and their success was very well deserved.”
