GOSFIELD Lake Golf Club hosted 96 senior competitors from eight clubs across Essex – finishing third in their 25th anniversary year.

Each club fielded two-man teams in a better-ball stableford format against all the other clubs, with the cumulative points score of all six teams decided the destination of the shield. The Gosfield club finished in third place with 240 points, only one point behind Forrester Park in second.
The best pair were Mark Gregory and Tony Collings with a huge total of 48 points for Stock Brook Manor, while the best three pairs from Gosfield Lake were Martin Gorham & Trevor Joyce (43 pts), Colin Cooper & Roger Gilham (42 pts), and Peter Prince & Steve Butler (42 pts).
