Takeley’s hopes of ending their Essex Senior League season with a trophy final were ended in emphatic style by hosts Barking in the semi-final.
Duncan Easley’s men were humbled 5-0 on Thursday night in the final four of the Gordon Brasted Memorial Trophy.
Barking’s Ben Turner was chief tormenter with a hat-trick while Joe Killingback and Steve Willis also netted.
Barking will play Clapton in the final who caused an upset by knocking out Premier Division leaders Haringey Borough 1-0.
