DUNMOW’S Alex Lynn completed a hat-trick of wins in the latest championship round at Donington Park on Sunday.
The 17-year-old followed up his double in the opening round at Brands Hatch with his third victory in race one and is pulling clear at the top of the championship leaderboard.
It could have been even better for the teenager as he bagged second place in the second race of the day, only to be later disqualified for a technical fault with his car.
He said: “We worked through everything as a team, and it’s been hard work to get such a fantastic result.” On the disqualification he added: “I’m upset as I feel it made no difference, and it’s something outside my control. But these things happen in motorsport. I’ve got to put it behind me and hopefully win again.”
The series now moves on to Thruxton in Hampshire for the third round on the weekend of April 30/May 1.
