Takeley boss Mark Das is looking for his side to make amends when they face Essex Senior League rivals Eton Manor on Saturday.
The Station Road outfit have won their last two matches, after their 12-game unbeaten run was ended by leaders Barking.
Das is keen for his troops to extend that to three at the V&E Sports Ground this weekend.
“We have Eton Manor away next, we played them at home and have got to make amends for losing to them [in October],” he said.
“Looking at the fixtues we still have to play, there are a few with sides lower in the table and we should be picking points up from them.”
Tuesday night saw Takeley secure a 1-0 home victory over Basildon United thanks to a Mitchell Das goal.
George Wappett hit a brace as Takeley beat Southend Manor 2-1, again at home, on Saturday.
Takeley were missing a few regulars for those matches, but Das was delighted with those that stepped in and with one teenager in particular.
“We have been a bit depleted for the last couple of games and so have called up reserve and under-18 players,” he said.
“Freddie Burrell [a midfielder] did well coming on against Southend Manor and I started him against Basildon and he played the whole game.
“I was very impressed, and as an 18-year-old he is one to watch.
“We still played attacking football, while Charlie Cole [top scorer] has not scored George and Mitchell have made up for that.
“We could have had three or four against Basildon, but saw chances go begging.”
Takeley have plenty still to play for in various competitions.
They sit fifth in the table and with nine league games left have ambitions of a higher finish, while there is still plenty of cup interest.
Das added: “There are still lots of games to play and we are in two cup competitions
“We’re in the quarter-final of the League Challenge Cup [against Hullbridge Sports] and the Gordon Brasted Memorial Trophy [against Ilford] so we hope to get to one of the finals.”
