Takeley stormed through to the second round qualifying of the FA Vase with a 7-2 win over Tower Hamlets on Saturday.

Charlie Cole bagged a first half hat-trick at Station Road, while George Wappett and Jason Todd put Takeley 5-0 up at the break.

Substitute Reece Barrett hit a brace in the second half to make it 7-0 before Hamlets’ Joel Ramos scored twice in the last 16 minutes.

Next up for Marc Das’ side in the Vase is a visit from SSML Division One side Biggleswade FC on Saturday, September 24.
