Takeley hit for six by Bowers & Pitsea

Takeley suffered a crushing 6-0 home defeat to in-form Bowers & Pitsea in the Essex Senior League Premier Division on Saturday.

The visitors went into the game having already scored six in each of their previous two league games and made it 18 goals in three games.

Duncan Easley’s troops will look to put the weekend’s disappointing result behind them and restore some festive cheer as they travel to Clapton FC on Saturday.

The scheduled league game with Enfield 1893 on Saturday, January 3 has been postponed.
