Takeley beat bottom of the table Newham 2-0 away on Saturday in what was a first win for caretaker boss Alex Martin.

After overseeing two draws and a defeat, Martin finally celebrated claiming all three Essex Senior League points.

They came courtesy of a goal from Jordan Westcott on 20 minutes and another early in the second period for Michael Ogboin.

The win leaves the Station Road side 16th in the table.

Takeley are due to host 12th placed Burnham Ramblers tonight (Tuesday).
